everything's not lost.

hello dear reader!

please, meet Scroky:

Scroky is a travel toy from Ambro from Italy. he already traveled a bit until Chris got him from Frederico in Helsinki. travel toys are the perfect excuse for making boring tourist pictures, because you can justify the picture for the website of the toy.

Chris and Scroky have been to France and Switzerland with Werner and Mario. after this trip, Chris brought Scroky back to klagenfurt, where he gave it to me in the Claddagh (see above, photo by Georg) for my London trip.

because the trip was a few weeks away, i decided to entertain Ambro with two pictures in the meantime. first, i staged a kidnapping:

shortly after, i let Scroky escape from his evil kidnappers:

this was enough material, and Werner and me went to London where we made some new photos:

on the second day, we went from trafalgar square up to buckingham palace and made a picture of “changing of the guards”, this photo was made by Werner and i held Scroky. i wanted to do another shot at buckingham palace and put scroky in my pocket and we made our way through the park. halfway through, i had to change the batteries for my camera. two minutes later i noticed that Scroky was gone. i immediately went back to where i changed the batteries, but Scroky wasn’t there any longer. no one else was around with another green crocodile toy, but this was a very busy tourist path and there were lots of people.

my hopes are that some other tourists picked Scroky up. so “Scroky was picked up by other tourists” is way more optimistic than “KWentin lost Scroky“, though not that honest as the second line.

for Scroky being a toy, i felt really bad, especially since someone else trusted me with it. damn. i do hope he’s fine and someone took a look at the website scroky.blogspot.com (a small note is attached at Scroky’s feet).

i really suck at parenting.
